Leonard Kamhout was involved in creating Sterling Silver pieces going back to the 1970's, and is one of the founding members of chrome hearts. Kamhout played a key role in establishing Chrome Hearts’ signature aesthetic—gothic, rock‑inspired motifs in sterling silver with expert engraving. In 1994, following creative differences, Kamhout and Bowman departed Chrome Hearts. Two years later, in 1996, Kamhout launched a new brand with Devon Wheeler. Initially called “Leonard Kamhout,” the label was later renamed LONE ONES, focusing on artisanal silver and occasional gold pieces that feature symbolic motifs such as birds, bells, and organic forms.
