About Georges Lenfant Brand
The history of Georges Lenfant, one of the most underestimated French jewelry House, began in 1899 under the name of Duparc and L’Enfant. George L’Enfant and his partner founded a firm that, after ten years, George took a full control of. The House was making high-end jewelry for the biggest Parisian brands: Cartier, Van Cleef & Arpels and Mellerio dits Meller. Georges’ son, Jacques, joined the family business in 1915 at the age of 11. Despite his youth, Jacques showed remarkable talent and dedication, destined to carry his father's legacy well into the latter half of the century.
In the 1950s, Georges’ workshop started a significant partnership with Vacheron Constantin. They crafted timepieces for Herm�s and continued to produce pieces for Cartier and VCA.
Moving into the 1960s and 70s, the Lenfant workshop excelled in making exquisite gold chain bracelets and necklaces, which have become iconic representations of their craftsmanship. Jacques Lenfant, deeply captivated by the artistry of the goldsmith, explored patterns, shapes, and textures to create a seemingly endless variety of chains.
