About Tabbah brand
The name “Tabbah” in Arabic means “printer”. Tabbahs dug their family history down to 19th century, when they ancestors engraved wooden blocks for silk printing. In 1862 Joseph Tabbah established Tabbah jewelry making house. He learned the art of block engraving from his father. Joseph remarkably translated that skill into gold and silver engraving and embossing. His filigree work was well acclaimed by jewelry experts.
During the Art Deco era, the House of Tabbah was thriving. The Mansion made one of the most coveted platinum rings and bracelets of the time. In 1950s Tabbah joined forces with a Swiss watchmaker Ebel, and partners made their first jewelry watch. A few years later the brand came up with a honeycomb link. This design has been replicated and re-interpreted by other jewelers until nowadays. In 1970s Tabbah relocated to Monaco to symbolize the international character of the brand.
In 2012 the brand celebrated its 150th anniversary and two years later opened a flagship store in Beirut. Today Tabbah's design is a unique and skillful blend of French sophistication and Oriental character.
