Tiffany & Co. Art Deco Diamond Platinum Ladies Watch, circa 1925

A spectacular Art Deco Tiffany & Co. platinum and diamond wristwatch, dating to approximately the 1920s and embodying the glamour, precision, and geometric elegance of the period.

The elongated rectangular dial is signed TIFFANY & CO. and features stylized black Roman numerals with delicate blued-steel hands. Framing the dial is a finely set border of diamonds, extending seamlessly into an exceptionally elaborate articulated platinum bracelet.

The design is quintessentially Art Deco. Architectural openwork panels combine strong geometric lines with stylized foliate and scroll motifs, creating an intricate lace-like effect in platinum. Numerous old-cut diamonds are incorporated throughout the case, shoulders, articulated links, and bracelet, with larger diamonds strategically positioned within the design to provide additional brilliance and visual rhythm. Even the narrower bracelet sections continue the decorative vocabulary, alternating diamond-set links with pierced geometric platinum work.

The reverse is equally impressive, revealing the beautifully constructed openwork bracelet and the craftsmanship hidden beneath the diamond-set surface. The interior case is stamped PLATINUM and bears numbered markings.

The watch is fitted with a signed C.H. Meylan, Brassus, Swiss manual-wind movement, numbered 34093, with 18 jewels and five adjustments. C.H. Meylan was a respected Swiss maker whose movements were used in fine watches retailed by prestigious jewelers during this period.
