This Edwardian sapphire and diamond ring, circa 1910s, is crafted in platinum and 10k yellow gold, showcasing the refined design typical of the period. The centerpiece is a cushion cut sapphire, framed by a halo of rose cut diamonds that continue onto the shoulders of the band. The sapphire’s deep blue color contrasts elegantly against the platinum setting, while the yellow gold shank provides a warm balance, with patina present that reflects its antique age. The face of the ring measures slightly under 5/8 inch in length and 1/2 inch in width. Weighing 3.53 grams, the ring is currently a size 4.5 and can be re-sized. There is visible wear underneath the sapphire, consistent with the ring’s age and history. This Edwardian ring is an excellent example of early 20th century craftsmanship, blending colored gemstones with old cut diamonds for timeless appeal.
