This vintage Van Cleef & Arpels ring was created in the 1970s in Paris. The ring is crafted in 18k yellow gold and features an alternating checkerboard pattern of polished gold squares and carved palisander wood inlays. Each square is individually hand-assembled, showcasing the artisanal quality of the design. The band measures 3/8 inch wide and is a size 5.5. Due to its construction, it is not resizable. The ring weighs 3.7 grams and is stamped “VCA,” “750,” and includes French assay marks.
