This circa 1980s Bvlgari 18k gold Monete necklace features a rare double ancient Roman coin design. Crafted in solid 18k yellow gold, the necklace measures 16.5 inches in length and weighs 118.4 grams. At the center are two bezel-set bronze coins, spanning 2.5 inches across and 1.125 inches high, framed in Bvlgari’s signature geometric settings. The reverse sides of the coins are inscribed with their historical origins: one reads “Impero Romano Claudius II 269–270 A.D.,” and the other “Impero Romano Licinio I 307–325 A.D.” The closure is stamped Bvlgari, 18k, and Italy. The piece shows some patina, consistent with its vintage age and the historical authenticity of the coins.
