A colorful Boucheron ring made of 18k gold, features chrysoprase and coral.
The gem and the coral are both cabochon cut, set one above another. The double shank design provides to this “layering” a great look. Two bright, contrasting colors make each other pop. The polished gold adds to the ring’s curves extra eloquence. This Boucheron ring is a classic example of a unique vintage jewelry piece.

    About Chrysoprase Jewelry

Chrysoprase is a captivating gemstone renowned for its vibrant green hue and translucent appearance. A variety of the mineral chalcedony, chrysoprase gets its distinctive color from the presence of nickel impurities. Ranging from apple green to a deep, rich green, the stone shows an apple-like glow.
One of the great features of chrysoprase is transparency. The light penetrates the stone and illuminates it from within. Combined with vivid color, this transparency provides chrysoprase a unique, eye-catching quality. The gemstone is typically cut into cabochons or beads to showcase its natural beauty.
Chrysoprase has been used for centuries in jewelry and decorative arts. The name comprises the Greek words “chrysos,” meaning gold, and “prason,” meaning leek, properly describing the stone’s luscious green color.

The gemstone is sourced from various locations around the world, including Australia, Brazil, Tanzania, and the United States. Due to the  chrysoprase’s unique combination of color and transparency, the gem has been highly valued and widely used by such jewelry giants as VCA, David Webb, and Tiffany & Co.

    About Boucheron Brand

From serving the Royal families all over the world in the 19th century to making the sought-after jewelry pieces nowadays, Boucheron house did it all. Today the brand keeps its leading position in luxury jewelry strong.

A balanced mixture of traditions and creativity has been making Boucheron jewelry highly desirable throughout the time.

One of the most recent pieces from Goutte de Ciel (Drop of Sky) collection, a white gold and diamond Goutte de Ciel necklace has an exquisite ice-blue pendant made of Aerogel.

It’s a material that was previously only used by NASA. The idea behind the piece was to capture the purity of the sky and translate it into a jewelry piece.
As to vintage Boucheron jewelry, it carries the influence of the French Classicism era. Being raised by the family of drapers, Frédéric Boucheron, the Maison’s founder, brought the pliancy of silk and laces into the goldsmith process.
That concept is easy to see in the airy looking Boucheron Bombé ring or famous Boucheron bird brooches.

At Nadine Krakov Collection we carry both modern and vintage Boucheron pieces that you can shop here.
